Hello! I am a fourth year Business Administration major concentrating in Information Systems and I am a returning Career Peer Advisor. I have benefited greatly from all of the resources that OCOB has to offer and I love being able to share that with my peers! This past summer I had the opportunity to work at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Manhattan. On campus, I serve on the board of FMA and am a part of Mustang Consulting. In my free time I enjoy being active, reading, and following eSports. Feel free to drop by the Career Readiness Center for answers to any of your career questions!
Hello! My name is Ileana Terrazas and I am lucky to serve as one of your Career Peer Advisors this year. As a 4th year Marketing Management student, I’ve found an incredible support system within OCOB and Women in Business, as well experienced amazing opportunities such as interning in tech consulting at Adobe last summer. Aside from my involvement in OCOB, I also serve as President of Poly Reps University Ambassadors—where I’ve mastered the skill of walking backwards for 90-minute campus tours and leading 7AM meetings with alarming amounts of energy. My favorite aspect of my role as a Career Peer is running into students I’ve worked with and hearing updates on their career progress—it always makes my day 10x better. This year I look forward to diving into my role as a Career Peer and making an impact on students’ career journeys. Feel free to stop by the office anytime!
Hi everyone. My name is Kathryn and I’m a fourth year Business Administration and Spanish double major. I’m concentrating in Information Systems and I am super excited about it, so feel free to come ask me about my experiences. This summer, I interned in Advisory at KPMG and I will be returning there next fall. I also am a TA for AEPS 110 (People, Pests, and Plagues) and love teaching, tutoring, and helping others learn new things. For fun, I also enjoy taking fun classes on campus like horseback riding and beekeeping. I love being a Career Peer because I get to help students realize that they’re way more prepared and capable than they think; you are all so talented! Please stop by and talk.

Along with being a Career Peer Advisor, I am a Poly Rep (tour guide & official ambassador of the university), VP Recruitment for Mustang Consulting, and a member of one of the Co-Ed Professional Business Fraternities, Delta Sigma Pi. Outside of my involvements, I love to hang with friends, listen to music, ski and drink coffee. Hi! My name is Miriam and I’m a third year Business Administration major with a concentration in Information Systems and pursuing the new Sales minor! This past summer, I interned abroad In Barcelona, Spain for a startup, which is an experience that I love talking about. I am also involved in the Co-Ed Professional Business Fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and serve as an OCOB Ambassador which helped me find my family here at Cal Poly and Orfalea College of Business. Outside of school, I love going to the beach, hiking, and grabbing a breakfast burrito in SLO. My favorite part about my job is helping students gain both professional and personal development that will last them past their time here. Can’t wait to meet you in our center!
Hey! My name is Sam Jones, I am a 4th year Industrial Technology and Packaging major with an emphasis in Operations, and I am stoked to be one of your Career Peer Advisors this school year! I am originally from the Bay Area and this past summer I was a Supply Chain intern at Stryker in San Jose! Outside of school I love being at the beach, exploring restaurants in SLO and baking. On campus, I am also an Ambassador for the College of Business and involved in ITS and WIB. All these experiences these last 3 years at Cal Poly have given me such an amazing foundation for my future and have made Cal Poly truly home.
Hi! I am a fourth year Business Administration student concentrating in accounting and minoring in Industrial Technology. I am a first generation student and have previously mentored incoming freshmen through CP Scholars and TRIO Achievers. I am President of Alpha Kappa Psi, a co-ed professional business fraternity open to all majors, and a member of Cal Poly Supermileage Vehicle Club. This summer I had the opportunity to work at PepsiCo as a Supply Chain Management Intern. As someone who struggled to adjust to college and took an unconventional career path, I want to help other students develop themselves and embrace their unique story and experiences. My favorite part about being a Career Peer Advisor is being able to interact with the amazing students in OCOB.
Hi! My name is Sandra and I am a fourth year transfer student majoring in Business Administration, and concentrating in Marketing Management. I am also an international student from Sweden, but did my community college in South Lake Tahoe, CA and transferred here in 2018. Thanks to OCOB and surrounding clubs, I have acclimated quickly and they have helped me to prepare for my future career, something I hope to be able to do for you as a Career Peer Advisor. I believe the best part of being a Career Peer Advisor is to see the student you helped succeed! Along with working in the Career Readiness Center, I am also the Co-Director of MCC for American Marketing Association and the Vice-President of Association of Transfer Students. Outside of campus, my free time goes to my mountain bike or my skis. If you have any questions at all related to career, being an international student, or transfer or even if you want to chat about bikes and skis, hit me up!
Hi! I am a fourth year Business Administration student concentrating in accounting. This past summer I was in San Jose working in Apple’s Global Security department. Along with being a Career Peer Advisor, I am a student ambassador for the college of business as well as a member of Delta Sigma Pi, a co-ed professional business fraternity housed in the college. Cal Poly has not only given me my education, but a group of people that I know are always willing to help in any situation and that is why I wanted to work in the Career Readiness Center. My favorite part of being a Career Peer Advisor is helping students prepare, grow and succeed in anything they strive for! Along with these involvements, I love going to the beach, playing basketball and going on coffee chats to get to know people better!
