Career-Readiness Initiatives

Students working together in a conference room

At the Orfalea College of Business, our goal is to ensure each student feels career ready by graduation. Our Career Readiness initiative is focused on providing students with experiential education opportunities both inside and out of the classroom. This initiative is in-part funded from private donors who are passionate about helping students succeed. We rely on the generosity of our Alumni, Parents and Friends to help us expand our career readiness initiatives and provide additional opportunities to our students.

Our Career Readiness programming will provide co-curricular programs in the following categories:

Across areas, courses and curricula, we provide opportunities to develop skills  career management and communications skills. The college has developed multiple 1-credit classes focusing on student success and professional development designed to help students start thinking about their career regardless of their year in college.  We guide each student as they explore potential career paths, then provide the resources and mentorship to help them achieve their goals.
