Stern Neill
Stern Neill is a professor at the Orfalea College of Business at California Polytechnic State University. Dr. Neill has over twenty years of experience teaching marketing courses on developing marketing insights and innovation. Currently, he offers a course on exploratory research methods to all marketing, entrepreneurship and consumer packaging students. Professionally, Dr. Neill has eight years of market research experience in the retail and wholesale industries.
Linking strategic, global and entrepreneurial domains and spanning industries and countries, Dr. Neill’s research focuses on how individuals (executives and entrepreneurs) and organizations (businesses and startups) make sense of unstructured situations and how this understanding shapes innovative behaviors and outcomes. His research is published in Journal of Business Research, Entrepreneurship Research Journal, Industrial Marketing Management, and others. He also conducts field research in China and the South Pacific.
