Addison Maerz is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Orfalea College of Business. His research examines the social complexities that influence employees’ decisions to (or not to) act with integrity and initiate positive change at work. His work has been published in various outlets, including Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business and Psychology, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, and International Journal of Human Resource Management. Addison has also worked with a number of Canadian organizations to develop solutions for assessing topics such as employee engagement, turnover, diversity, and consumer preferences.

He currently teaches courses on organizational behavior and employee training and development, and he was the 2023 recipient of the David Peach Excellence in Teaching Award.

Addison received his PhD in Management from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in 2021. He also holds an MSc from Queen’s University and a BSc from the University of Calgary.
