Adam Werner
Dr. Adam Werner is currently a lecturer in economics at the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he teaches International Finance and Macroeconomics to undergraduates, and Managerial Economics to MBA students. He lectures frequently on the topics of capital cost estimation and the economic issues in securities litigation.
In addition, Dr. Werner serves as a principle at Crowninshield Financial Management, a firm that provides expert analysis and testimony in economics, finance, and accounting. Prior to joining Crowninshield, Dr. Werner worked in the securities practice group of a number of the largest litigation consulting firms in the United States including Cornerstone Research and NERA. He began his post-doctoral career at the Federal Reserve. Dr. Werner has more than 16 years of experience working extensively in litigation consulting, concentrating primarily on security class actions, mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, shareholder derivative cases, and valuation cases. He provides expert opinions and testifies in federal, state and bankruptcy courts within the U.S. He has also provided testimony in Australian and Canadian court cases, as well as domestic and international arbitration. Dr. Werner’s opinions and testimony focus on issues of market efficiency, price impact, materiality of information, loss causation, and both method for calculating and calculations of damages.
