Dr. Bruce Greenbaum is currently serving as Associate Dean for Programs and Learning at the Orfalea College of Business. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Dr. Greenbaum’s research interests focus on the varied micro and macro-level effects on a firm’s strategic decisions. His recent research focuses on the microfoundations of firm strategic actions, including the influence of CEO personality on firm innovation activities and the role of interpersonal relationships on professional service firms’ client retention decisions. His work has been published in outlets such as the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and Administrative Science Quarterly. Dr. Greenbaum also has ongoing research exploring the effects of hiring star performers on future firm performance.

Prior to entering academia, Dr. Greenbaum spent more than 12 years as an investment banker working with middle market clients on mergers and acquisitions in a variety of global industries. He also worked as an IT systems consultant for three years, developing customer service systems for large multinational firms.
