Objectives

  1. Provide lean content that will be of value to a wide variety of lean practitioners, including those in business, education, government and non-profits.
  2. Bring lean experts and implementers together to share best (and not-so-best) practices.
  3. Continue to build the Central Coast Lean community by providing visibility and networking opportunities.

Philosophy

We are always in the position of going for an effective combination of reputation and quality.  One of our goals is to once a year, bring the big names to our regional market.  By the same token, we also want the best “experimental treatment” to move the Central Coast Lean community forward.  The Summit sets the tone for the coming year.

This year we are going to continue making our Summit a place where participants don’t just sit and listen.  At our Summit, your get to hear great ideas presented by our speakers and then discuss with your functional and industry peers how these ideas could work in your organization.ent this year.  Therefore, we are doing two major keynote/speakers and two large and small group facilitated breakouts:  one by topic and one by function/industry.  Excellent speakers will get you thinking and will set the stage for rich, engaging conversations. Somehow we in the lean community have forgotten that Summits are for sharing, listening, and learning and not being talked at.  We recapture the concept of a Summit as a way-finding experience for leadership in our part of the world.
