Kevin Meyer has over thirty years of operations and engineering experience in the medical device, telecom photonics, and industrial lighting industries. He is currently co-founder of Gemba Academy, which provides lean and six sigma training to over 2,000 companies worldwide. Previously he was President of Specialty Silicone Fabricators, a manufacturer of components for the medical device industry. Kevin is on the boards of two startup technology companies, the Economic Vitality Corporation, and is a partner in SLO Seed Ventures. He is the author of The Simple Leader and Evolving Excellence. Kevin has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

ERIC DOSTER VP OF OPERATIONS – DOZUKI
Eric Doster is the VP of Operations at Dozuki, a division of the repair-focused iFixit.com. After developing world-class standards for teaching technical processes to nontechnical consumers, iFixit funded the development of a visual instructions platform (Dozuki) to help other organizations train their customers and staff alike. When he’s not burning the midnight oil at the office, Eric is usually swinging a hammer or building something in his workshop.
I am a Rexnord Business System Engineer. I provide tactical / strategic implementation of RBS which include application of lean operations, operational excellence, six sigma tools, and facilitation across all aspects of the business.

Nathan graduated from Penn State Behrend with a degree in Plastics Engineering Technology. He is now in charge of facilitating the kaizen events and lean implementation at one of the sites for Freudenberg Medical.

Our team’s focus is process improvement initiatives throughout the company (production, planning, quality, etc.).

Karen Bangs holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Cal Poly SLO and an MBA from University of California, Irvine. She is in her 10th year of teaching at Cal Poly. Before joining Cal Poly she spent 19 years in the semi-conductor industry working at Skyworks Solutions Inc. Her responsibilities included Industrial Engineering analysis, Operations Finance and Supply Chain Management. She teaches a wide range of subjects from Introduction to Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering to Human Factors to Quality Engineering. In addition to teaching Karen led the Women In Engineering Program from 2007 to 2010 and is beginning a new role as the Faculty Safety Coordinator for the College of Engineering in 2016.
