Accounting Recruiting Events

Fall Symposium

Cal Poly Accounting Club hosts the largest major specific career fair at Cal Poly every fall with 45-50 firms and more than 200 professionals attending. Most firms recruit for both Summer and Winter internships during the Fall, so attending Fall Symposium is a must for any Accounting, Finance, Economics, Industrial Technology, or Information Systems student applying for internships.

Attend Fall Symposium as a First or Second Year!

Attending your first career fair can be a whirlwind. As you attend more career fairs, your confidence and experience will show, allowing you to connect with professionals. Attending Fall Symposium before you are applying for internships or summer leadership programs will help you land your dream internship down the road.

Careers in Accounting Day

Careers in Accounting Day takes place in Winter Quarter and is centered on exploring the accounting profession and Summer Leadership Program (SLP) recruiting. SLP’s are fun day long or multi-day events students attend a year before summer internships. Some SLP’s are held in special places, like Chicago or Texas and students will often get internship offers after attending SLP’s. This means that some students have a career lined up following their second year in college.
