Finance Spring 2007 Senior Projects
Dr. Kenneth Riener will supervise three Business Senior Projects a limited number of Business Senior Projects, for students interested in working on one of the following projects:
- Update of Cal Poly Economic Impact Report.
This is an opportunity to work on a topic which is of great interest to the University and the community. It involves gathering and analyzing information obtained from across campus. The campus community is always very cooperative in providing information. - Participation in the Bank of America Community Development Challenge.
This involves a team of students from Architecture, City and Regional Management, Construction management, and Business/Finance who prepare a development plan, typically for a site in a community that is redeveloping. Cal Poly teams have always done well in this competition, and often win it. A great opportunity for students who have an interest in real estate development to work with students and faculty in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design on a real-time project. - Preparation of business plans for the Cal Poly/Ray Scherr Business Plan Competition.
This will be limited to students who have already entered the Ray Scherr Business Plan Competition, since the entry deadline has passed. Students have already been working on their idea, and wish to prepare a full-fledged business plan.
Students interested in working on one of these ideas should contact Dr. Riener at 756-1763, or e-mail kriener@calpoly.edu
