Design and Business Collaboration

The exclusive Design & Business Collaboration cohort offers motivated students a chance to immediately gain an academic advantage and experience a sense of community at the Orfalea College of Business.


The Green Light Program – Business Majors only

This cohort sequence is designed for BUSINESS MAJORS who want to jump into business classes during their first year.


The Quantitative Sequence -- Economics and Business Majors only

This cohort sequence is designed for the ECONOMICS and BUSINESS MAJORS who enjoy problem-solving and mathematical analysis.


Leadership Program for Diversity and Inclusion

Orfalea’s Leadership Program for Diversity and Inclusion will allow students to explore topics related to multiculturalism, career readiness, and how to find a sense of community with special programming linking students to early internships and career positions with employers who value diversity.


First in Business

This program, offered to those students who identify as “First Generation” college students, involves being block scheduled in Fall Quarter into a customized section of the freshmen seminar course.

Business Plus

Business Plus

Perfect for academically-motivated students, Business Plus show business administration and economics majors how they can use Quarter Plus and AP credit to graduate early, making time for travel, graduate school or other opportunities.


Quarter Plus

The “Quarter Plus” Program provides an opportunity for incoming freshmen to accelerate their academic studies and begin their college experience during the early fall when semester campuses typically begin their fall term.

How to qualify for these sequences:

Students admitted to the Orfalea College of Business in Economics, or Business majors who meet the math criteria (qualifying SAT/HSGPA scores, eligible for MATH 141) will be asked about their interest in the program through an email survey sent by Cal Poly’s Admissions Office.
