| 2007 - 2008 Student Ambassadors |
The OCOB Ambassador team for 2007-08 is ready to move forward to host VIPs, parents, prospective students and industry representatives. Twenty-five students have been selected to represent the college both internally and externally, a challenge they are eager to accept. The criteria for selection to the program is a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a history of participation in college clubs. Applicants must first submit written applications; finalists then have an oral interview with five graduating ambassadors. As representatives of the entire college,
Ambassadors must become familiar with each concentration in order to effectively relate to prospective students and their families, as well as with industry representatives who come on campus to interview OCOB students. "I look forward to working with this extraordinary group of students," said Dean Dave Christy. "As student representatives at alumni receptions and Business Advisory Council meetings, these students serve as the link between the entire student body and our guests and friends. They also assist with Poly Royal, Parent's Day, Homecoming, and other events and tours. We are proud to show others the fine caliber of students with which we are fortunate to work in the Orfalea College of Business."
