1st place in the International
Collegiate Business Strategy Competition
Seven Cal Poly MBA students took first place, and
in the process, proved they have what it takes to make it in the
business world, at the 38th Annual International Intercollegiate
Business Policy competition held recently in San Diego. Teams from
24 universities and 2 foreign countries were charged with running
a virtual corporation for a five-year team. Both undergraduate
and graduate students competed, and Cal Poly's team won in the
Graduate World category.

3rd in the International Disney Competition
Two MBA Architectural Management Track students,
Charles Dellinger and Conrad Garner take third in the International
Disney Competition to propose the idea of a new and "un-Disney" entertainment
center on San Francisco Bay. Dellinger and Garner with two other
seniors Brian Gallo and Matthew Kull spent nine months formulating
and packaging the layout of the theme park which they named "Frequency".
The third place finalists received a monetary reward and recognition
at the Imagineering headquarters in Burbank.
