The Value and Uniqueness of the Cal Poly MBA
The Cal Poly OCOB MBA program is accredited by the AACSB. We offer a 60-64 unit daytime MBA program, consisting of 36-units of required courses with the remaining elective units selected from a focused group of advanced courses. This program is unique for a number of reasons:
- No undergraduate business degree is required. Further, there are no prerequisite course requirements to enter the program.
- An Accelerated Option - making it possible for a full-time student devoting 100% attention to his/her studies, and, who follows a prescribed course of study to complete the program in less than a year (Track One - Accelerated Track). For students not following Track One, it will take four, five or six regular academic quarters to complete the program depending on how a student structures and schedules his/her coursework (Track Two).
- Relevant, current, challenging, and intellectually stimulating
courses from top to bottom. These include two short intensive
summer sessions1 to facilitate the completion of the
MBA program and/or follow the accelerated option requirements.
