Bradford Anderson holds a Juris Doctor (law degree), magna cum laude, from the State University of New York (Buffalo), School of Law, where he served as a Senior Editor of the Buffalo Law Review. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree“with highest distinction” from Purdue University where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

He is an active member of the California Bar, and was originally admitted to practice law in Massachusetts in 1987. He joined Cal Poly in 2006 after leaving the private sector.

His law practice experience includes business/corporate law, complex financial transaction structuring, and securities law. During his time as legal counsel at two international based semiconductor firms in Silicon Valley, he handled sophisticated transactional work in the high tech sector, as well as advising on business/corporate law and intellectual property rights.

He previously served as General Counsel (Chief Attorney) of Samsung Semiconductor (USA), Inc. (Silicon Valley), Senior Attorney of Mitsubishi Electronics America, Inc. (Silicon Valley), Legal Counsel to KENETECH Corporation (San Francisco), and Associate at a major international law firm in Boston.

At Cal Poly, Bradford served as Interim Vice President of Research and Economic Development for over six and a half years from January 2013 to August 2019. He also served as the only Associate Dean of the Orfalea College of Business from 2010-2012, and co-Associate Dean in 2013-2014.
