This year SIFE Cal Poly competed against 117 other schools in the four year division. The club’s projects are focused on seven criteria: Market Economics, Success Skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, Environmental Sustainability, Business Ethics and Team Sustainability. This year, two of their strongest projects were their Green Team project, which was an environmental consulting group that has assisted businesses in San Luis Obispo in reducing their environmental impact, and their California Men's Colony project; a project where the SIFE team members taught inmates about to be released crucial skills for finding a job, such as resume building and interviewing skills.
