Dean Dave Christy addressed the faculty and staff at the annual college meeting during Fall Conference week in preparation for the return of our students. A record 18,892 students started classes this September at Cal Poly.
Rosemary Wild, new area chair for Management, consults with incoming freshmen at Week of Welcome Academic Day on Wednesday, Sept. 17. The Orfalea College of Business welcomed 425 incoming freshmen and 75 transfer students for 2008-09.
Jane Johnson, Career Counselor and Orfalea College of Business liaison to the Career Center, assists the Student Ambassadors during their two-day training. The ambassadors work with the Career Center throughout the year to greet company representatives who come to campus to recruit business students as one of their many duties. Information Systems professor Ken Griggs greets freshmen on the first day of class in his Business 391 class for Green Light students. The Green Light program enables freshman students to enroll in business courses that are traditionally taken in the sophomore and junior level years.
