B. Quentin Lilly (Business Administration ’83) has been selected as the Honored Alumnus for the Orfalea College of Business for 2008-09. Quentin is the President of Home Entertainment Services for Technicolor, Inc. in Camarillo and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the college. He has been an enthusiastic supporter of the college chapter of the Wheelchair Foundation and a speaker for classes, as well as hosting many class field trips at the Technicolor plant in Camarillo. Congratulations, Quentin!
Patrick M. DeLong (Accounting ’89) of Napa has been appointed to be the unit director for the Orfalea College of Business on Cal Poly’s Alumni Association Board of Directors. Patrick is senior vice president and CFO of the Crimson Wine Group, Ltd., the wine division of Leucadia National Corporation. The appointment is for a three-year term. He takes over the responsibility from Ryan Bristol (Accounting ’99) of Thousand Oaks.
Two new faculty have been added to the accounting area – Rodney P. Mock and Andreas Simon. Mock joins the accounting area as assistant professor in taxation. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from the University of California at Davis. He received a J.D. with an emphasis in Tax from the University of Oregon School of Law and an L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law. Simon earned his diploma in business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, as well as his Masters Degree. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Queensland in Australia. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2007.
