Tim Harden with students

Tim Harden was the Distinguished Speaker for the Orfalea College of Business on February 4th. Tim is the President of AT&T West, and the son of Sheldon (former coach at Cal Poly) and Dorothy Harden, longtime residents of San Luis Obispo. Tim also received recognition from the County Board of Supervisors for his outstanding personal and professional achievements.

Faye Russo, Yi Zhang, Jeremy Wakamiya

Faye Russo (Accounting '96), San Luis Obispo CPA, is pictured working with accounting seniors Yi Zhang and Jeremy Wakamiya, both of Sacramento, for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. The program is offered in the Orfalea College of Business every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through March 15th for free to central coast residents who qualify. Faculty advisor is Michelle Bissonnette.

International Career Conference

The 13th Annual International Career Conference took place on February 2. The event was attended by over 250 people. The keynote speaker was Dr. Riyad Mansour, who currently serves as the Ambassador and Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations. The2007- 2008 ICC team is currently recruiting for the 2008-2009 team. The Orfalea College of Business had an Ambassador Alumni reunion in San Francisco on February 25 for all student ambassadors who live or work in San Francisco.
