Associate Dean Chris Carr accompanied 33 graduate students on the college’s first-ever study trip to China in July. Pictured at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the students spent 18 days visiting a variety of businesses and meeting with Chinese business leaders. For more on the trip, click here.

The Orfalea College of Business bids farewell to four retirees this summer. Saying goodbye after a cumulative 87 years of service to the college are (pictured left to right in alphabetical order): Marge Harris, Administrative Analyst, 23 years of service; Professor Philip Fanchon, Economics, 15 years of service; Professor Ken Riener, Finance, 23 years of service; and Professor Mike Stebbins, Management, 26 years of service.

We also have several new hires! There will be lots of new faculty faces in the halls this year – in alphabetical order, they are:

Dawn Chandler and Jean-Francois Coget, Management; Li Dang, Garo Kalfayan and Steven Mintz, Accounting; Lou Tornatzky, Industrial Technology; and, starting in winter quarter – Eric Fisher and Kathryn Marshall, Economics.
