(Accounting) was selected to receive the 2004 Award for Meritorious Service from the CalCPA Education Foundation. The award was presented by the Board of Directors at their meeting in Monterey on July 22, 2005.

Dr. Jim Sena...Jim Sena (Management) presented a paper at the 3rd International Conference on Computing, Communication and Control Technologies (CCCT '05) held in July, 2005 at Austin , Texas entitled "Security and Control Systems: Social Engineering and the Organization."

(Accounting) has been appointed Board Member Emeritus for the Accounting Information Systems Educator Association. She has also been elected to launch, and be Editor-In-Chief, of the Association's new academic journal.

Michael Jurewicz (Accounting '05) received the 2005 Land Family Quest for the Best Awards for the Orfalea College of Business. The annual awards recognize student leaders in each college who exemplify core values of excellence, stewardship, collaboration, integrity and community through academic achievement and volunteerism.

Dean Dave Christy and Eric Olsen (Industrial Technology) participated in the University of Toyota's Lean Thinking Training Program for two days in July in Torrance.
