The Orfalea College of Business Student Ambassadors visited Apple Computer in March. Industrial Technology Professor Eric Olsen challenged his IT403, Quality Systems Management, students to try making a ‘great cup of coffee.’ Students Andrew Mora, Tom Sullivan, Kevin Sullivan and Dustin Oswald were one of the highly-competitive teams vying for top honors. Students were learning the Toyota production system and lean thinking by applying what they have learned to an everyday process.
Heather Raymond, sophomore Business Administration student, and Sarah Riviere, senior Marketing student, participated in the National Collegiate Sales Competition in Kansas last month. Courtney Sherman (not pictured), Marketing senior, also participated at the event. The students were accompanied by faculty advisor Lisa Simon.
