Students in the Industrial Technology Society teamed with the Robotics Club to compete in the National Association of Industrial Technologists (NAIT) Student Robotics competition in Cleveland, OH. The team took second place overall, and placed second in design overall out of 14 contestants. The team was composed of (left to right) mechanical engineering students Jason Maggard of Colfax and Tyson Messori of Ojai,  Masters in Industrial and Technical Studies student Adam Stephens of Andover, MN, and industrial technology students Shasta Palmer of Grand Junction, CO, Dave Dougherty of El Dorado Hills and Tejas Bafna of San Jose.

Paul Orfalea spoke in Myleen Leary’s Business 401 General Management and Strategy class when he was on campus in December.  A focus of the December visit was to spotlight student scholarships for the Orfalea College of Business.  If you are interested in more information about supporting scholarships for students in our College, please contact Pamela McClure at pmcclure@calpoly.edu.

Commencement speaker Michael McBreen, director of global operations for Nike, shares a moment with Diane Blakeslee, senior vice president of Blakeslee and Blakeslee and charter member of the Orfalea College of Business Community Advisory Council at a luncheon in his honor.  McBreen was also the guest of honor at a breakfast for student leaders at the Orfalea College of Business.
