| Dean Dave Christy
spoke recently to a group of 250 prominent business leaders in San Luis Obispo about his vision for the future of the Orfalea College of Business. |
The Orfalea College of Business plays an active role in the corporate world. Because our students are both our consumers as well as our product, the OCOB is committed to building multi-faceted corporate relationships that benefit students both while they are enrolled in our program and as they become part of the business community we serve.
To ensure that students receive the skills and education they need to succeed in today's competitive business environment, the OCOB works closely with the Dean's Advisory Board. The DAC is comprised of local and national business leaders who are dedicated to sharing their wisdom and experience with students and faculty alike, and to ensuring that the OCOB's curriculum addresses today's most critical business issues.
Students and faculty also benefit from the OCOB's corporate-sponsored faculty development initiatives. These important programs - including the Community Development Grant Program and the Boeing Faculty Development Program - help ensure that OCOB faculty are current in their respective fields, which translates to a better education for our students. And once students are ready to enter the business world, the OCOB offers corporate recruiters access to these highly sought-after individuals via numerous program-specific and university-wide recruiting events.
