Networking
- Join a club! Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from employers who come to speak about opportunities and to get exposed to various industries
- Develop a list of contacts. List people you know through your current network – friends, relatives, professors, past or current jobs, supervisors, and through club involvement. Contact them about possible internship opportunities
- Shadow someone in the field you are interested in – spend some time with someone in a role you are interested in to see what they do and how they spend their workdays.
- Conduct an informational interview

- Don't miss this opportunity to meet with employers seeking applicants from all colleges for career, internship, and Co-op jobs. The job fairs are run by Career Services, and put on each quarter. The upcoming Spring Job Fair is April 30, & May 1, 2008.

Career Resource Center
- Visit Bldg. 124, room 117 - to find internship directories, employer directories – California & National - employer contacts, and the Alumni Network. Recent graduates participating in the Alumni Network provide their name and contact information for you to find out about what they do and where they work. There is an Extensive collection of information resources on careers and jobs as well
- Business cards from Employers participating in our on-campus recruiting & job fair
- Open from 8am – 3pm with computer and internet access available
- Check out the Book of Lists (geographic reference of companies in different cities)

- Check out corporate websites, click on their “careers, employment or jobs” sections
- The Graduate Survey can give you information about where recent graduates in your major have landed jobs, including company, salary, and location information. This is a good guide to start your research into.
