Internships, summer jobs, and other experiences enable you to test out a career and develop marketable skills. An Internship is a short-term work experience in which you receive training and gain experience in a specific field or career area. It can be paid or unpaid and can vary in hours and length. Finding an internship or summer job takes planning, organization, and persistence. It is important to start early, to allow yourself enough time to do everything you can to thoroughly research and pursue opportunities that interest you most.

  • What do I want to learn from an internship?
  • What sort of company or organization would enable me to learn those things?
  • Where do I want the internship to be situated?
  • How much time do I want to spend at the internship?
  • Will you consider both paid & nonpaid internships?
  • Do you want credit for the internship?
